No public access
Access by private car is not possible, there is no cab service. As an alternative to the cable car, you can walk from Kandersteg to the Berghotel Oeschinensee in an hour.

Parking spaces are available at the valley station of the gondola lift. For hotel guests, a parking space costs CHF 5 per day.
Public transport
From Bern or Brig: Hourly connections to Kandersteg with the BLS. From Kandersteg train station, you can walk (15 minutes) or take the local bus (8 minutes) to the Kandersteg-Oeschinensee gondola valley station. You can find the timetable here.
Gondola special rate
Hotel guests receive a reduction on the gondola (half-fare/GA valid). You will receive access to the ticket portal two days before your arrival.
Electric shuttle from the mountain station to the lake
In summer daily from 11.30 to 17.00 / 18.00 from the mountain station to Lake Oeschinen, CHF 10 per trip. Persons with reduced mobility or senior citizens have priority at all times.
Arrival from the airport
There are hourly train connections from Zurich, Geneva, Basel, and Bern airports to Kandersteg. We do not offer an airport pick-up service.
